L'Invitation au Voyage

We really appreciated the team here. Lena and Alice at the front desk and Cyril in the restaurant were cheerful, patient, and helpful, and the service made our stay even better. My wife and I would gladly recommend L'Invitation to anyone exploring this beautiful part of France. The hotel sits in the center of old town Honfleur, near the harbor. Parking nearby cost only 6€/24 hours. There’s a good restaurant and a relaxed feel, with bright common areas, seating on patios at both the front and back, and comfortable chair groupings inside. Our room had a comfortable bed and pillows, and the linens felt high quality. The bathroom was well lit, with a large illuminated mirror over the sink and a heated towel. I also liked the adjustable wall lights beside the bed and the clever light beneath the closet clothes rod. The rooms were well appointed, and the hotel’s understated style made it a lovely place to rest.

We loved the mix of rustic character and clean, contemporary style in the lounge, room, and breakfast area. Breakfast was great, and the whole staff were warm, friendly, and helpful. One of our favorite hotels in France, with an amazing location.

The superior room cost a lot for what was included, though the basic rooms were sold out. Still, we had a great stay. The room was spacious and very clean, and the air conditioning worked really well, which can be hard to find in France. Breakfast was good, but I would have liked a couple more savory choices. The hotel is right in the middle of town, with plenty of restaurants a short walk away. They told us about public parking beforehand; it was about a five-minute walk, and the patio had a very nice view.

There’s no hotel parking, but you can drive around to the rear entrance at Parking Quai de la Tour to unload bags. A large, affordable street parking area is also about a five-minute walk away and works well for leaving the car overnight. The hotel is right in the center of Honfleur, and the service was attentive and very friendly. Our room was spacious and spotless, with a big, cozy bed. The design is beautiful, and all the thoughtful details made it a comfortable place to stay.
