La Chaumiere

We were welcomed right away at the front desk of La Chaumière, where the staff showed us around the beautiful property by the water. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was wonderful, and the staff made us feel so welcome, going out of their way to greet us and serve an incredible meal. Breakfast exceeded our expectations too. Sitting on the deck and looking out over the bay made it even better. It was such a lovely stay at an incredible hotel, and the staff were amazing. Thanks to Helene and Louis for making it especially memorable. We’ll definitely return!

Dinner by the sea at sunset was so romantic, and breakfast had lots of lovely choices. The croissant was delicious and unlike any I’ve had elsewhere. Thank you to Louis and the team for making everything feel perfect. My boyfriend and I had such a relaxing time together in the room at “Le Manoir”. It was clean, comfortable, and lovely, with a beautiful sea view. A wonderful place to spend time with someone you love. I hope we see you again soon!

The rooms are beautiful, the restaurant is outstanding, and the staff are both friendly and attentive. We had an amazing experience and will come back at the first opportunity.

The restaurant was the best part of our stay. Its interior has real charm, the staff were nice, and the food was good, though still overpriced. The rest of the building felt dark and dusty, with spider webs in our room and the public areas. Outside looked cluttered: quality installations mixed with artificial grass, design lamps, mismatched chairs, rotten wooden chairs and garden bridges, plus a tent and a trailer. The hotel didn’t live up to the impression from its website photos. I’m sure it had charm at one time, but apart from the one brand new apartment they feature, everything needs a makeover, and it’s absolutely overpriced. Our ground-floor room, number 1, was €268 and smelled and felt humid. The sheets were dirty, and the toilet looked like it dated from the 80s, with no way to air or ventilate it. The furniture felt random, though the bathroom was new. You can find a very different standard elsewhere for that price.
