Les Hibiscus

We had a great stay in this quiet location. The cottage was beautiful, clean and well-maintained, with comfortable bedding, good Wi-Fi and private parking. Access to the pool was easy. The owners were available and reachable, and their son gave us a very warm welcome. They were flexible with schedules and accepted pets. Honfleur town center is a 30-minute walk, and the supermarket is a 10-minute drive. The price was reasonable for the area. The only shame was that there wasn’t a barbecue.

The owners were welcoming, pleasant and discreet, and made us feel right at home. Everything was peaceful up in the hills above Honfleur, with beautiful, very well-maintained grounds and a fantastic pool. If you’re after a serene place, you’ll be in the right spot. Highly recommended.

Honfleur's center is lovely, with plenty of places to eat, and getting there from the apartment is easy if you’re comfortable walking. It’s a steep 20% downhill route, so remember you’ll have to climb back up. The first-floor apartment was clean and had a beautiful garden that felt private and relaxing. Cooking there was practically impossible. We only saw the owner when we arrived, then not again.

The garden was spacious, the place was quiet and very clean, and we got a friendly welcome with linens and shower gel provided. Still, we left very disappointed. Booking.com gave us the impression the covered, heated pool would be available in October, but we learned only on arrival that it was seasonal. It was freezing on the first day, then closed and inaccessible the next. At almost €300 for two nights, the amenities didn’t justify the price. We tried to cancel the second night and find a hotel with a pool after the surprise, but they wouldn’t negotiate. Honfleur is lovely, but we felt ripped off.
