La Petite Folie

The beds were comfortable, the towels fluffy, and the staff lovely. Valerie deserves a special mention for her delicious cake. The hotel is beautiful, full of lovely touches and in a great location. I've already recommended it to friends and will definitely return. My only small gripe: in a room with a bathtub, you have to hold the shower while bathing. There are rooms with a separate shower.

Breakfast came in the sweetest basket, with fresh bakery items and freshly squeezed orange juice, so there was no need to rush downstairs. Our apartment windows opened onto a delightful garden, and there's a summer house guests can use. The furnishings were first class, and we slept wonderfully in the most comfortable bed we've ever tried. Le Petite Folie is simply beautiful and so very French. It's just off the town center, so the location is perfect and still peaceful. If you go through La Petite Folie's back gate into the park, there's a long walk along the seafront to a beach. Just lovely. We'd absolutely recommend these apartments as a wonderful place to stay in Honfleur.

We only stayed one night, and that's my one regret. The Chamberlin room had a darling little sitting room and wonderful garden views. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and it was an easy walk both to the free parking lot and to the downtown port. I'd absolutely stay here again, and for longer!

The breakfast was a highlight: generous, delicious, and made with locally sourced products. Penny, the owner, gave us a warm welcome, and her personality made our stay at La Petite Folie even more special. The house is charming, the decor warm and welcoming, and every object seems to have a story. It's conveniently close to the old port, with easy access to all the good spots in town. We stayed two nights and loved it. The staff were practical and flexible before and during our visit, and helped arrange our late-night arrival, even though check-ins are usually in the afternoon. We really appreciated the attention to detail, too. Our attic room can get pretty hot in summer, but although the A/C unit wasn't initially included, we were happy to find a cool room with one ready for us. Highly recommended.
