La Cense - Ferme des Tilleuls

The location has plenty of natural surroundings, but not much else. We were given an upstairs room; we saw rooms on the ground floor and thought those might be better. For a one-night stopover, this place is fine, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a longer stay. The room looked decent at first, but it was dusty and needed maintenance. The showerhead was broken, and a kitchen plinth was loose at the side. The building was noisy, which matters if you’re a light sleeper. There was a strong old carpet smell in the hallway by the rooms, which didn’t feel pleasant or welcoming. Breakfast is served in another building. It was very basic, which wasn’t the problem for us, but the bread was old. Communication could have been better, though the language barrier is an issue that’s understandable in France. The place didn’t meet our expectations from the pictures and positive reviews.
