HECO Colmar Nord - ex Première Classe

The beds had breadcrumbs and hair on them, and the room was too small for 3 adults to stay comfortably, despite what the advertisement said. Check-in was a struggle because I had to argue with the receptionist about whether breakfast was included. My confirmation clearly said it was paid, but he wasn’t convinced. We stayed just one night and checked out the next morning. Even though we didn’t use the rest of our booking, the hotel wouldn’t refund the remaining night. Worst place ever.

The room and price were okay. Breakfast was worth 3 stars on the first day, but only 1 1/2 stars on the next two mornings.

It’s close to the motorway, and the hotel is on a shopping complex estate with Lidls nearby. That’s where the good news ends. The rooms are cramped, with a plastic pod for the shower and toilet. Try to arrive early to get a parking space, as tradesmen and their vans take over later in the afternoon. Breakfast was adequate.

Avoid this place. There’s no air conditioning, and the walls are paper thin, so noise from rooms all around is terrible. It’s on a retail estate behind Lidls supermarket, and the advertising photo is misleading. See the actual photo below.
