Very clean little apartments, and the host was so friendly.

The bedrooms were upstairs, reached by another narrow, very steep staircase from the living room, toilet, and shower. Going down half asleep to use the toilet at night felt inconvenient and quite dangerous. I think the listing should say that the toilet isn’t on the same level as the bedrooms. I wouldn’t have booked it if I’d known. The shower was also very small and cramped. The house itself is charming and well-maintained, the rooms very clean, and the service attentive and very friendly. Our apartment was reached by a narrow, very steep staircase.

The wonderful town of Hunnspach speaks for itself, and the locals struck us as incredibly warm and friendly. Our holiday apartment was cozy and clean, and the breakfast was fantastic. Special thanks to our two hostesses, Silvie and Nathalie. Their warm hospitality made us feel welcome from our very first contact. Thank you for everything, even though we were there for just one day in November.

Hunspach is a pretty village and a handy base for Fleckenstein and Schoenenbourg. The two sisters were very friendly and helped wherever they could. The rooms were fine, though the lack of air conditioning was the one downside after the very hot days we’d just had. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh jams, lovely bread, and more.
