Les Ecrins de la Badine - hameaux

The park was beautiful and well kept, which is the one good thing I can say about our three weeks here in June. The stay cost €3300, and the dog fee was €75 a week despite there being no facilities for dogs. We even had to fight twice to get the dog fee refunded. The accommodation was very sparse: a single room with a kitchenette, a sofa bed that wasn’t a bedroom, no wardrobe, and a bunk bed off the hallway. The bathroom badly needs renovating, with only a bathtub and no shower. The price didn’t match the quality. First and last time.

The apartment needs a lot of small renovations before it can feel pleasant, or even healthy. I took photos and videos of the problems, and we also had to deal with a water leak that you already knew about before we arrived. The shower grout was moldy and smelled awful, and water escaped the shower, soaking the rug, toilet and hallway. The toilet seat was rusty and old. The bedroom window was coming away from the wall, leaving no sound insulation or insulation at all. The appliances, including the kettle, were extremely dirty and had dead insects inside. The walls were dirty, the wallpaper looked ten years old, the curtains had holes, and the mattress protectors were covered in hair. The beds should have at least been made before we arrived. One key for an apartment meant for five people wasn’t enough. We did a checkout inspection and left the place much cleaner than it was when we got there. We couldn’t have caused the mold in five days, whatever the owner would have you believe. Avoid this place, especially with children. I can provide the photos and videos to back up what I’ve said.

Our ground-floor apartment was fantastic for a family with children. It’s a peaceful residence and close to the beach.

A lovely pool, pleasant accommodations, and a very nice place overall. The beach is close by.
