The pool, spa, and overall feel of the place make for a real treat, and the two-star Michelin restaurant leaves you so happily full that you may not feel like going anywhere else. Rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, with clever high-tech touches, even the toilet. Every detail seems considered, including keeping an iron out of sight so the calm isn't disturbed. It is pricey, but I'd happily cut a day from a vacation to stay here. Luxury feels effortless.

The garden is enormous and well worth a wander, and the bar and indoor shared spaces feel cozy and elegant in a classic style. Everywhere, inside and out, is beautiful. Breakfast was sensational, fresh, and worthy of a five-star stay. We couldn't finish all the bread, so we took it home. The spa was excellent too, and definitely something to try. We stayed in the Maison Du Pecheur, the only accommodation of its kind here. It's a detached, two-floor maisonette right by the river. Downstairs there’s a small bathroom and living room, while upstairs has the bedroom and a huge bathroom. It’s classy and really lovely, with a terrace, a couple of loungers, and a private Swedish pool that can be heated on request. This is a truly top-class hotel. It costs a lot, but the quality is there. If you can afford it, don't hesitate to stay.

The five-course dinner at Haeberlin Restaurant by Marc Haeberlin was the highlight, with every dish beautifully balanced. Breakfast the next morning was just as memorable, made with excellent ingredients and care. Service was warm and attentive while still giving us space. Marc Haeberlin even invited us to see their soon-to-open chocolaterie the following morning and took time to talk about the project. That personal moment made the stay extra special. The hotel itself is a gem in Alsace. We loved the peaceful river setting, with weeping willows and birdsong outside our beautifully designed room. The architecture mixes antique details with modern style, and the art and sculptures add a lot of charm. The spa is stylish, modern, and deeply relaxing. A dream stay for us, and we'll definitely be back.

The grounds are lush and peaceful, and our room was spacious, comfortable, and nicely equipped. Everyone who looked after us was attentive, gracious, and genuinely caring throughout our two days. We've stayed at plenty of five-star hotels, but this tucked-away place was the one that impressed us most. Every detail felt spectacular. It's a place I'll always hold close, almost like heaven on Earth. We can't wait to come back.
