Aparthotel Adagio Access Strasbourg Illkirch

The lobby is lovely, with books and board games, and the staff were friendly and gave us the information we needed. Parking was spacious, and the tram just outside goes straight to the city center. Our family's stay felt average, though. The rooms weren't especially clean, with old corners and bugs. Guests have to take their room trash out themselves, and even with breakfast booked, it's partly self-service: you cook your own omelette or put eggs in the boiler. There are also too many passwords to remember for things like getting in and out or opening the parking gates.

Parking was a bit of a hassle because the signs weren't clear. The cleanliness could have been better, with some responsibility on the previous guests and some on the cleaning team, who hadn't really dealt with it. There was also a terrible smell coming from the kitchen pipes. For an Adagio, the place felt like it offered less than expected.

The rooms were clean and well kept, and we loved our stay. The hotel is perfectly located at Cologne tram station. The team was nice, and the staff were friendly too.

The man at reception, whose name I didn't catch, was so kind. He always greeted us when we came in, which made us feel welcome, and helped whenever something came up. The hotel is right beside a tram stop, so getting to the city center quickly is easy. Everything else was good too. I would've preferred a slightly smaller bedroom and a larger kitchen, but for what we paid it was very cheap.
