Auberge Côté Rivière

Thank you for making a very difficult day easier. The team was incredibly accommodating and really understanding with parents of young children. We found the beds quiet and comfortable, the bathroom was wonderful, and the food was delicious. The hotel has recently changed owners, so this may be the first review for the new owners. Their hospitality alone makes the place worth visiting.

The staff were lovely, and the food was awesome. Our room was a good size, clean, and nicely decorated. The wines were good value too. Have I mentioned how lovely the staff were?

The restaurant had a welcoming feel, with good food and a nice choice of wine. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. My room was peaceful and comfortable, and breakfast, with both French and continental options, was delicious. I really enjoyed my stay.

We called the hotel directly to book, hoping that would save them the extra booking fees, and reserved a room a week ahead for one night on our way back to Belgium. Then, while we were already driving home on the day we were meant to stay, the hotel called to say they had overbooked and couldn't host us. They offered no alternative or solution. We were shocked that this was only discovered on our arrival day, especially after booking in advance and taking the time to call them ourselves. The hotel and restaurant look lovely, but the way they handled the booking was so unprofessional that we won't return.
