Hôtel Du Fronton

The €23 or €33 set menus are great value, and as people who don't eat meat, we were delighted by the vegetable and fish dishes. Everything was creative, delicious, and beautifully seasoned and presented. The waiter was great, and the wine was delicious too. Honestly, this is the best restaurant I've eaten at anywhere. We'll keep coming back.

We came back recently. The atmosphere and service were just as before, though prices had gone up a little, which is understandable. The flavours were still amazing, but this time the cuts of meat weren't up to the standard of the rest of the experience. Maybe we were just unlucky, but it took some of the shine off an evening we had been looking forward to. On our earlier visit, we had the 25EUR three-course menu and a 50cl bottle of wine after the waitress briefly described the local options. We chose different dishes for each course so we could compare them. The dining room is lovely, surprisingly spacious, and traditionally decorated in this old hotel. There's also a beautiful terrace with views that I'm sure would be superb on a sunny lunchtime, though we visited in the evening.

The people were lovely, and the terrace had beautiful views. I found it a little expensive, though dinner and an amazing buffet breakfast were included. The photos make it clear how delicious the food is, and the king bed was super comfy.
