La Casa Blanca

Getting cash late at night turned into a real problem. The nearby towns are an hour away, sometimes two, and two of the three ATMs were broken. Having to make that trip around 9 pm felt unpleasant and even unsafe. We’ve stayed in places we trusted more. The guesthouse itself is large and the rates are affordable, though parts of it are run-down. Zakaria Foukak and Magali Lempereur are welcoming and flexible about arrival times, and sometimes they can put together a light dinner if you’re in a pinch. I did find it surprising that cameras monitor all the shared areas.

The location is really good, and the setting is just as pleasant. We were welcomed very warmly. Thank you for everything.

Casa Blanca is in a pretty, peaceful building, with shopping centers nearby and easy access to the airport and main roads. It was easy to find, parking was straightforward, and there’s a children’s playground right across from the house. My daughter and I had a wonderful time there. The hosts were warm, kind, attentive, and ready to accommodate every need so things went smoothly. Our spacious room and the shared areas were clean, and the well-equipped kitchen made it easy to cook. Thanks again for all your help and kindness. I highly recommend staying here.

The hosts were lovely and gave us a really warm welcome. Our room was roomy and comfortable, with beautiful decor, and spotlessly clean. They were strict about the Covid-19 hygiene and health protocols. I’d gladly stay again on my next trip to Lyon.
