The standout for us was the location: 200 m from a supervised beach, 500 m from the harbour and 650 m from town. This is Camping Pomme de Pin (Pine Cones), a French family campsite with an experienced UK company present in the background without being intrusive. It's family-owned and keeps updating and improving its facilities. There are large open pitches for quality mobile homes with decking, while the tent pitches are shaded. Facilities include heated, covered pools, a bar, games room, petanque, ping-pong, a multi-sport area, bike hire and a kids' play area. The shop is good value, and hot food is available. In high season there's nightly entertainment in the clubhouse. Wifi costs €33 for 14 days. It deserves its full 4-star rating.

It's excellent value and only 200 m from the beach, which made for a very positive stay. The mobile homes have air conditioning and what you need to be comfortable, but there's no stove, so cooking is a bit of a hassle. Since it's a British site, the homes have British plugs, so bring adapters.

The children's pool was nice, and the beach is an easy 200-meter walk. It's a great campsite, though the atmosphere there was the one downside.
