The building is in need of an upgrade, and the rooms were dirty and badly needed cleaning. There’s no parking, and breakfast was poor.

The sheets were clean, thankfully, and the customer service was fine. The location, services and restaurant were good too, but the room itself was really dirty. Dust and dirt were everywhere, including the toilet flush button, and there was black mould on the shower head and all the sealant. It was stiflingly hot, with a thermostat that didn’t work. I had to choose between boiling in the room or opening the window and putting up with traffic noise and fumes. I needed a stop for the night, but I wouldn’t recommend the place or stay here again.

The view from the location was nice, and the room price was reasonable, but we had a horrible night. It was 35-38 degrees and the room was boiling with no air conditioning. My son felt sick from the heat, and we couldn’t open the ground-floor window because there were no bars on it. We were travelling through France from Italy. Restaurant prices were very high: a burger was €20, bottled water €7, and a beer €9. I tried to raise the problem with the manager, who is supposed to start work at 7, but he still wasn’t there at 7:30. This was the worst night I’ve spent in a hotel. Avoid it if you can. I don’t recommend it.

The sound insulation was impressive. Our room was only 10-20m from the autoroute and A40 traffic, yet it was quiet. We also had a good evening meal in the Court Paille and a nice breakfast. We were driving from Garda in Italy back to the UK with a passenger who had a broken leg, and this IBIS was well placed for one of our two overnight stages. One listing online said the hotel was all on one floor, but it actually has two and no lift. Fortunately, we were given a ground-floor room. It also seems impossible to book an accessible room online or even note a preference, which makes travelling with an injured person something of a lottery.
