Bel'Air

A surprisingly nice place, with good-sized rooms and bathrooms, great food, and lovely staff. They can also provide a garage for a motorbike. There was no air conditioning in the room, which was a drawback in the heat while we were there, though maybe that's not usually an issue. I'd definitely stay again.

The food was good, and the staff were polite and helpful. My room was clean and modern. It's well placed for Col de la Bonnette, with a car park behind the hotel and even a petrol pump next door. I was here three years earlier, and although I returned at the same time of year, it was busier this time and there were more staff. Perhaps it's changed hands. Best of all, there's now a lovely resident dog. A bit shy at first, but playful once you've said hello.

The host was very friendly, and the rooms were clean. There's a spacious garage for bicycles and motorbikes, which is useful, especially since the hotel is right by the Bonette and Larche roads. It's a small hotel with small rooms and limited facilities. Breakfast disappointed, and the restaurant may be closed in low season. It's relatively expensive, like the other places in Jausiers, and spontaneous hotel options there are limited.

The food and staff were nice. The rooms are quite small, and you can hear the noise from the main road running past.
