You can walk from the hotel to the city center, and the welcome was really warm. The place was clean, with rooms that are basic, which makes sense in a former military building. The bathroom is very simple but has everything needed, and the bedding is in good condition. It feels more like a hotel for a stopover than a boutique hotel.

I’ve had lunch at the restaurant several times over the past few years. It’s on the eastern edge of town, in a pleasant room that’s clean, tidy, well lit, and nicely decorated. For €10, not counting optional drinks or coffee, the buffet has a good range of starters, main courses, cheeses, and desserts, though I haven’t found that selection every time. The food quality can be hit or miss, and we’ve been disappointed a few times. The staff are friendly, and service is often quick, though it could be better on some occasions. The hotel building is modern, with paint colors that fit well with the surroundings. Its advertised prices seem very competitive for what the establishment offers.

I’ve only eaten at the restaurant, on the 28th. For €10, with drinks extra if you want them, there’s a varied unlimited buffet of starters, two hot dishes, and plenty of cheeses and desserts. Great value for money, and I highly recommend it. The former barracks have been completely renovated, and the setting is very pleasant. There’s a large parking lot nearby. I don’t know much about the 17 rooms beyond that they used to be for officers and are spacious.
