B&B HOTEL Metz Jouy-aux-Arches

The price was fair, and everyone at B&B was really kind. I also appreciated being able to check out at noon. The manager made the whole last-minute situation easy and gave me a very comfortable room. I slept better than I had in a long time. I’d arrived in Metz at 8 pm with a reservation at another hotel, but its limited check-in hours meant my prepaid booking was no longer valid. I needed somewhere in a hurry, and B&B turned out to be a great alternative.

The WiFi was okay once I finally got on, but registering took ages and several attempts. The bathroom worked, though it was old and very moldy. It was also too hot, and the air conditioning didn’t work. I couldn’t leave the window open because the room was on the ground floor and it opened all the way. The hotel was very cheap, and you can tell. The room was tiny, with barely enough space to get past the bed to the other side. I wouldn’t recommend this one, though I had a better stay at another hotel in Colmar.

Loved the bed, and aside from the check-in hiccup it was a great, restful stay. When checking in outside staffed hours, the information about parking and the room number comes up too quickly, so there’s a lot to take in. My room number disappeared before I could note it, and I had to contact customer service.

The room was fine and the beds did the job. Breakfast was standard, no complaints, and there were places to eat and drink nearby on the shopping and industrial estate. I’d probably stay again for the price. Getting parked was a bit of a process: I first had to drive to a place called "jardin" to park, then check in for a code to access the secure car park.
