We only stayed one night, but I couldn’t get any WiFi reception, which would have been a shame if we’d stayed longer. The auberge is in a sleepy little town, with small, clean rooms and beds around a central patio where dinner is served. You can order à la carte, and there’s also a daily menu. There’s no special kids’ menu, but they were very flexible about making something to suit the children. The local wines were superb. We tried a bottle of sencerre and really enjoyed it.

It was just right for what we needed. The staff were friendly, and nothing was too much trouble.

For a two-star hotel, it’s quite decent. The staff are friendly, and the place is very clean, though small and a little dated. The interior patio terrace is a real asset and could be used to much greater potential. The breakfast room, though, is rather drab.
