The meals were the thing I couldn’t stop talking about after a full week at Clos Mirabel for a writer’s retreat. I eat whole food plant-based and have food intolerances, so I’m used to being told it’s no problem and then ending up bored or disappointed. The chefs exceeded every expectation. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were creative, generous, and delicious every day, better than meals I’ve had at any five-star restaurant. Everyone at the retreat was raving about them too. Everything was fresh, healthy, made from scratch, and the wines were high quality and poured generously. The manor house itself is beautiful, comfortable, and clean, with sweeping views in a quiet spot. The staff were warm, welcoming, and keen to help. I was so sad to leave those gorgeous meals behind. I’d happily come back, and I’m incredibly grateful for the experience.

I’ll definitely return for another Botanical Art holiday. The views over the Pyrenees and vineyards are amazing, and Rachel & Xavier and their staff were professional and genuinely lovely. The rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable, the property was clean and well cared for, and the WiFi worked well everywhere. My friends and I also enjoyed some delicious dishes from very talented chefs. Thank you for making our Botanical Art week so memorable.

The grounds and views at Clos Mirabel are spectacular, and the rooms are beautiful. My wife and I have just come back from a week there while she attended a fiber arts retreat. It’s run by a family team who made us feel welcome and worked hard to take care of what we needed. The food was fantastic, with much of it coming straight from their gardens. They were also especially helpful with suggestions for hikes and day trips.

I’ve just finished my second art week at Clos Mirabel. My first was in July 2023, and both times I left feeling relaxed, inspired, and well nourished. The meals are incredible, the rooms are really comfortable, and Rachel, Xavier and their staff are wonderful hosts. It’s such a gorgeous, welcoming place, and the location and view are superb. Highly recommend Clos Mirabel!

We met some lovely people during our long weekend and had great conversations over breakfast and dinner. It’s a wonderful place to connect with others and recharge. The whole stay was so restful, with stunning views and just the right setting to relax, swim, and have a glass of wine. Rachel was a fantastic host. She served fresh dinners and made the place feel calm and easy to settle into. My husband and I hope we can return soon!
