Castel du Pont d Oly

The terrace is lovely, set in landscaped surroundings, and the tables and fabrics give the place an elegant feel with an authentic, almost rustic touch. Service was discreet, with a recommended wine pairing served at just the right temperature. Master chef is such a wonderful idea. Every tasting was a burst of taste and flavor, from the presentation to the skillful cooking.

The dishes were really good, excellent even, so I have no complaints about the food. The service, though, was a real letdown. The waitresses seemed unfriendly and didn’t smile once. From start to finish, we felt as if we were bothering them. It’s a shame, because a little warmth would have made the atmosphere much more pleasant.

The food is good, but it feels expensive since the setting isn’t presented to its best advantage. The decor could be warmer and more inviting, which would improve the experience.

We came in March, and the interior had simple, tasteful decor with a central fireplace giving off gentle, pleasant warmth. The setting is peaceful and quiet, with a terrace and a pool surrounded by greenery. The welcome was impeccable. The food was full of flavor, with subtle combinations, and we took time to taste and savor each dish. It felt like a real culinary journey. A big thank you to the chef, everything is fresh, handmade, and put together with great creativity.
