Studio Residence Cote Green

Really excellent.

The apartment photos don't reflect reality at all. The residence is in a council estate, and from the moment we arrived there was a cold shower and a fight in the hall with people trading insults. Each time we went through the hall after unloading the car, there were more arguments and insults from different people. We then went to see the pool, but it was closed because the security guard had been attacked by three young people. We were told it would stay closed until the next day. I'd never seen a security guard at a holiday residence before. I called the host who rented us the place, explained that we didn't feel safe and were leaving. She deducted the first night and the costs, so we lost 160 euros, and we had to urgently find another rental. Avoid this residence if you want a good holiday.

The place was quiet and pleasant, though the soundproofing was poor. We could hear people coming and going, along with cooking smells. It was sunny even at this time of year, but we would have appreciated some heating. Parking was a problem because it wasn't nearby. I don't think the advertised four stars are deserved.

The whole apartment smelled of stale tobacco. The floor was dirty, the silicone grout was moldy, and the closet doors were loose. None of the lights worked when I arrived, and I was charged tourist tax for six people although only four of us stayed. For all three weeks, I tried to get in touch with management about compensation, but couldn't get anywhere. I kept being told, “They'll call me back as soon as possible.” The pool was dirty and cold, and got no sun because it's wedged between the building and a wall. I absolutely don't recommend this supposedly four-star building.
