Relax Appart Hotel

A warm welcome from friendly staff, and the apartment was clean and comfortable. I had an excellent stay and recommend it.

I spent ten days in a ground-floor apartment and was very disappointed. There was construction noise every morning, or staff talking loudly around the pool, and we had little privacy. The place also hadn't been cleaned properly before we arrived, as shown in the attached photo. There was no iron or broom, though they brought a broom later when we asked. A chair was broken and never replaced, and there was no storage furniture. The bedroom, kitchen, and exterior curtains were see-through, which was a problem with so much foot traffic outside. We reported it and they doubled the curtains, but they still didn't block out the light. The kitchen bulb was broken and never replaced because it was in Cayenne, as they put it. The worst part came when the pool was booked for a private event on Saturday night. I was told to get out of the pool at 12:30 pm on Friday, and it stayed unavailable. They said it was for a birthday party and hoped I wouldn't mind, but offered nothing even though I was bothered by it. I returned at 1 a.m. that night and the music was incredibly loud. They offered to move me, but it was no use because the sound echoed everywhere. It was blasting so loudly that by 6 a.m. I lost it, called the manager, and demanded she step in after I hadn't slept at all. Other guests complained too. The music finally stopped at 6:30 a.m. I asked for a free night as compensation, and they granted it. Relax apartment, or rather, apartment mess! I absolutely don't recommend this hotel.

I had the pleasure of discovering Relax Appart'Hôtel over the weekend of April 12th, and it really does live up to its name. The place is pleasant and clean, though it could use a few finishing touches. I really enjoyed my stay, felt relaxed, and heard no outside noise. It felt like I was far from French Guiana. Congratulations, keep up the great work! One thing to check is the Jacuzzi temperature control. We used it, but the water was like a cold bath.

The rooms are lovely, with some really nice finishes. It’s a quiet, pleasant hotel in a good spot in the city.
