We arrived expecting a room and Dean upgraded us to a small apartment. During the pandemic, having a fully equipped kitchen was especially useful. Everything was spotless, and Dean was a great host. Thanks, we'll be back. Greetings from Ghent.

The room and bathroom were spacious, and there was lots of neutrodol around. Breakfast was good, but the night was absolutely baking and no fan was offered.

Breakfast was very decent, with croissants and pain au chocolat from the bakery, and our room was very clean. We stopped here for one night on the way through and were greeted warmly, with friendly service. A good fit if you enjoy a quiet, authentic stay.

We were a family of six, three adults and three kids, and were comfortable here for four days. We mostly needed a place to sleep, shower and get dressed before heading out, then came back between 11 p.m. and 1 a.m. We had no problems, and I doubt we would have had any over a week either. If you're planning to cook or spend much time in your room, though, bear in mind that you may not have a kitchen or fridge. For a longer stay with cooking, food storage and time in the garden, a larger Airbnb would probably suit better. This is a decent, rustic place, not somewhere to expect luxury, and works well for a short stay up to a week. The location is handy, right in the town center opposite the town hall, and parking was easy. The people were friendly, and the owner was very welcoming. The room was cleaned every day, which impressed us, especially since Dean was working alone, I think. We booked just two days ahead and expected worse, so we were pleasantly surprised. Breakfast was made each morning at whatever time we wanted. Dean did a great job on his own. We visited in summer and only used the room to sleep, so heating wasn't an issue. There's a little cat that wanders around, which is a bonus if you don't have allergies. One came into our room as we were leaving. It didn't bother us, but could be difficult for anyone allergic. The cats are normally in the garden. Dean is English, so a little basic English should be enough. We stayed during COVID. Everything was respected: Dean always wore a mask, and signs asked guests to wear one in shared areas. Good luck, Dean, and thanks for the stay and the breakfasts!
