Hotel Villa Joséphine

The rooms, lounge, restaurant, and pool all have gorgeous mountain views. The hotel is beautifully designed and really peaceful, except for the hilarious herd of sheep in the neighboring field. With only 19 or so rooms and plenty of lounge space inside and out, it never felt crowded, and there was room to enjoy a quiet drink or lunch. The staff were amazing, welcoming, and so helpful. It's about a 15 minute walk to town and a couple of minutes by car from a main road connecting to the rest of the coast. There's lots of parking, either in the hotel garage or a one minute walk away. A fantastic hotel.

Carla and Romain at reception were both superb. We spent two nights unwinding at the cool, classy, stylish Villa Josephine, and the view from our room and the pool made it even better. You can see the Balagne villages and THAT view of Monte Cinto.

The hospitality was amazing, and the hotel sits in beautiful scenery. When a storm changed our flights, the woman at the front desk as we were leaving, whose name I unfortunately didn't catch, helped check in with the airport, taxi, and bus company. She made sure we could reach the bus transfer in time, and we're so grateful she handled all of that so we could catch our flight. We had a great stay at Villa Josephine. The room and bathroom were spacious and beautifully decorated, and the stylish design throughout still felt comfortable, with lots of places to lounge. The pool overlooking the mountains was great too. I'd definitely stay again if I'm in L’Île Rousse. The one thing I'd change is adding some vegetarian dinner options ;)

The room was quiet, spacious, and spotless, and we slept so well in that incredibly comfortable bed. I loved the antique art deco style, too. We could see the mountains from our balcony, and the infinity pool looked amazing, though we didn’t try it. The village centre was a 7-10 minute walk and the beach 10-15 minutes. There’s a large Leclerc five minutes away by car, and parking was easy with spaces always available. The staff were friendly, attentive, and very professional. We stayed three nights and absolutely loved it.
