The food at breakfast was plentiful and well prepared, and at €14 per person it was actually good value. The hotel building itself looked impressive, with well-kept grounds, and the location was fantastic. L’Île-Rousse is lovely, and the amazing beach is about a five-minute stroll from the door. For two people, three nights in August cost over €600, room only. The hotel was a bit run down, though. Our room was clean but poorly maintained, with no refreshments or refrigerator. It was over 30°, so a bottle of water would have been welcome. The only extras were hand soap and a hair dryer. Pool towels cost an extra €2 each, but even after paying that, there weren’t any loungers available by the pool during our stay. The service the hotel seems to promise doesn’t quite match what it delivers.

The staff were more or less okay, and the room was clean. But although the photos make the hotel look nice, and the grounds and beach are great, it’s very old in reality. The owners don’t seem to care about renovations. The walls are awful, the corridors have ugly, dirty carpets, and the room’s AC doesn’t work properly.

We loved this place and will come back. It’s right in the middle of Île Rousse, so it’s easy to enjoy the area. It feels like castle luxury by the beach, with a kind, wonderful staff who are always willing to help. Very family friendly, and it wasn’t very crowded.

The room was okay, but the bathroom needs an upgrade. There’s barely any pressure in the shower hose. The walls don’t block sound, either. We were near another room and could hear the neighbours as if they were right in ours.

The room and bathroom were large, bright, and clean. The pool and service were very good, and the staff were kind and ready to help with anything. Wifi worked great, and breakfast met expectations. The room’s sound insulation could be better, and finding the right entrance by car was a little difficult.
