Romantic Getaway in L'ile-rousse

The location worked really well, close to a supermarket and the city center, and it was handy to park our motorcycle right by the veranda in the property's convenient internal lot with cameras. Our 25 sqm apartment was clean and comfortable, though not new. It had what we needed even for a longer stay: a fridge, microwave with grill, drying rack and basin, and an outdoor table with umbrella. The air conditioning ran the whole time, but we couldn't adjust it using the wall panel. A few things to watch for: reception was open from 7 to 11:30, then only again from late afternoon. We needed information at 11 and couldn't find anyone, so service could be better. Sheets cost €10 per person and towels another €10 per person, which seemed crazy to us, especially since they weren't included. Cleaning was also mandatory and paid, €50, and if you stayed more than 3 nights you couldn't clean the apartment yourself. These extra costs weren't clear in the non-refundable Booking reservation. The base price looked among the lowest nearby, but with the extras it came out in line with other places, so check that carefully. I'd return, but bring my own sheets and towels.

We'd be glad to stay here again. It's well placed for getting to the city and beach on foot, and the welcome was perfect. We arrived ahead of schedule and could go straight in because our apartment was already ready.

A dated residence, but the location is fantastic: the supermarket and bakery are two minutes away, the center is five minutes on foot, and the beach takes ten. The apartment was spotless, with air conditioning and a private parking spot. There are balconies or patios, too.

The air conditioning made a real difference, and the place was quiet, secure, and well situated. We stayed for a week as a couple. The beach was a five-minute walk away, while the town center took three minutes, with shops, restaurants, bars, ice cream places, and various evening activities in peak season. We got a warm welcome, and although we arrived late, the hosts waited for us and were available if we needed anything. Just be aware that there's no dish soap or sponge in the accommodation. Good value for money.
