Hotel Cantosorgue

We only had to leave, which was the one downside. We booked at the last minute because a room was available and hadn’t expected such a nice place. The decor, staff, and service were outstanding. The receptionist was welcoming and helpful, our room was clean and had AC, and there was breakfast service and a decent pool for relaxing. From booking by phone to departure, we got more than we paid for. I strongly recommend it. You won’t be disappointed. I’m not sure why it’s rated as a 2-star hotel.

The rooms were much smaller than they looked in the pictures, and ours were quite dirty, with lots of breadcrumbs and other unidentified food residue on the little table. We booked two double rooms, and in both it seemed someone had slept in the same blankets before us. There were towels for just one person, and we couldn’t ask for more because reception was already closed at 22:50. They only speak French. The parking area is small, and there wasn’t a free spot for our car.

The breakfast room has a lovely river view, and it’s only a short walk to the old town. The location is quiet, the staff are very friendly, and there’s a nice little pool. I’d stay here again.

Room 35 had no hot water and a broken bathroom. The caulk and carpet were nasty, and there were spiderwebs all over the room. The restaurant has a beautiful view, but that’s not where I was sleeping. A little room like that should be easy to make more accommodating.
