The room itself was clean, but the bathroom was so tiny it was hard to get dressed. There were also details that didn’t feel like a 3-star hotel, including a hole in the baseboard behind the toilet and a cupboard door under the sink that wobbled. So the claim in your reply that we had the room earlier is false. Having to pay on arrival also bothered me, even though it is stated on the website. I understand why, since reception is closed for much of the day, but it still wasn’t pleasant. Breakfast cost far too much for what was offered. There was no ham, eggs, or honey, just three small jars of jam, two mini chocolate croissants, three mini croissants, two slices of white bread, and a few pieces of fruit. The products were supermarket items, including Coeur de Lion cheese, Andros fruit compote, and industrial sliced bread. The website says there are fresh products, but apart from a little fruit there weren’t any. In my opinion, such a meager, limited breakfast is unacceptable for a 3-star hotel. Your reply says the buffet was reduced because the hotel was under-occupied, but you charged the same price. That amounts to admitting the breakfast was poor. Guests should have been warned, or breakfast not offered. It felt disrespectful to your September clientele, especially with room prices at high-season rates. Cutting things back to save money at guests’ expense is like cutting their electricity or hot water, while they’re still paying full price for a room and a low-quality breakfast. Very disappointed.
