Chambres de Monthéard

Dinner with our hosts was a real pleasure, and the €20-per-person meal was delicious. We had grapefruit salad with palm hearts and shrimp, fish with carrots and zucchini, cheese and salad, then apple crumble. Wine, fruit juice, water, coffee and tea were included, with red or rosé wine. Breakfast was just as good. The house feels like a little cottage in a magical wood, and we were welcomed by the hosts, their dog and their chickens. Our room was clean and comfortable. I recommend it!

The hosts were fantastic, and the accommodation was excellent.

The children had plenty to enjoy outside, with play equipment and a play area full of toys. The owner was even building them a wooden playhouse, and there were chickens and a sweet little dog too. We were welcomed warmly by a friendly couple who clearly love children, as we saw during our nice chat. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well equipped, and a crib was available for our 10-month-old son when we asked. There were two bathrooms shared with other guests, but that worked out fine. We had dinner with the owners for a small fee, a good choice if you like French food, and slept very well on the comfortable mattresses. We arrived on June 16th, two adults with our two children, and had a pleasant stay we’d recommend.

Martine and Régis made our stay brighter from breakfast onward, and were kind, available hosts who welcomed us so warmly. The place was spotless and had Wi-Fi, a big plus for teenagers. It’s in a peaceful woodland setting, close to Le Mans and just a stone’s throw from the Bazoge shopping center, cinema and leisure center. An enchanting little paradise, highly recommended.
