Hotel Restaurant Le Ranch de Turini

We had a great meal and the service was quick, with no long wait. The wooden interior felt cosy, and the surrounding views are beautiful, especially for hiking. The owner was really friendly too, and let us use his electricity to set up our equipment for searching for rare moths.

We keep coming back whenever we're near Peira Cava and col de Turini. The owner, waiter, and his wife in the kitchen have always been warm and friendly to us, and we liked the atmosphere from our very first visit. The food is fresh, homemade and proper, easily the best place to eat in the area for our family. We made the mistake of trying other places in a nearby village along the road. The food was disgusting and low quality, and the service was terrible too. If you want good homemade food, keep going to Le Ranch. I’ve seen the negative comments and imagine those people were really arrogant, like many locals from big cities. Ignore them. Smile and be kind, and you’ll be rewarded by others.

The rooms had more charm than I expected, with an alpine feel, Geberit toilets and USB ports in the walls. I arrived without expecting much and was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t eat here, but I’d definitely come back.

I wasn't surprised after reading some of the other reviews. This felt like a lazy, unwelcoming place. Ham, cheese and mushrooms were on the menu, so we could order that, but a ham and cheese omelette was refused because it wasn't listed. Fries were a no as well, apparently an omelette only comes with salad. Go figure. And what's with the ridiculous cowboy hat and leather vest? Next time I cycle up the Turini, I'll bring a packed lunch.
