There are plenty of hiking routes, and the natural setting is perfect. But this campsite really seems geared only toward families with children. It’s absolutely unsuitable for people traveling with dogs: staff and some other guests treat them as extremely dirty animals that spread disease. The sanitary block is crowded and could be arranged better, and the semi-transparent toilet dividers offer very little privacy.

We found lots to do around the Vosges, from lovely walks and bike rides to pretty towns and villages. After a week at Belle Hutte, I can say the campsite is fantastic, and the photos don’t capture how stunning the area is. Our kids loved the pool, the facilities were excellent and clean, and reception was very helpful. There’s a good shop, with fresh bread and pastries each morning. The pitches are a decent size and nicely screened by trees, and mobile reception is good. Highly recommend it, and I’m sure we’ll return.

We’ve come back for a couple of years and have never been disappointed. Summer can get busy, though they manage the capacity well. It’s also well placed for road biking, hiking, skiing, and more. Excellent campground.

A welcoming, family-style place in the lovely French mountains. The staff were helpful, everything was super clean, and the grassy pitches are divided by nice hedges. There are several restaurants close by, too. Really lovely camp, especially for kids. We’ll be back.

The kids have plenty to keep them occupied here: slides at the pool, bouncy castles, ping pong tables, and more. It’s a great family spot, with a little shop at the entrance and baguettes and bread available to order for the next morning. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and we had a perfect pitch for our tent and car. The single sanitary block is always clean, but if you’re camped farther from the entrance, the walk can feel long when you urgently need the toilet. The location near La Bresse and Gerardmer is beautiful.
