Au bord de l'eau

The peaceful setting was a highlight: a grassy little peninsula between two streams, lush even in the heatwave, with trout darting through the water. We had an evening picnic beside the stream, and La Canourgue's old houses made the town a pleasure to explore. Our recently renovated apartment was elegant without being fussy and very comfortable, especially the bed. It had everything we needed, including a first-aid kit, a small fridge, a coffee machine, and even a sauna. There’s a handrail on the rather steep stairs up to the second floor. Breakfast on the first-floor terrace was excellent, and the welcome was warm and attentive. A friendly cat may come say hello, too. We stayed as a couple on Friday, July 31, 2020. It was relaxing and left us with lovely memories. I only wish we'd stayed longer, and I'd gladly return.

The stream makes the place feel especially calm and peaceful, and the welcome was so warm we felt at ease right away. The bed was really comfortable, and breakfast was excellent. A little gem. Highly recommended!

You can hear a stream flowing along both sides of the house, which adds to the calm, Zen feel. The suite itself is beautiful and cozy, and the bed was very comfortable. We were greeted warmly, and breakfast was generous and delicious, just right for the peaceful atmosphere.

A lovely place to stop or simply recharge, with hosts who really know how to make you feel welcome and share their hospitality. I happily recommend the people as well as the place.
