We found two mousetraps under the furniture, including one beneath the children’s bed. The owner lives upstairs and was too present for us. She even turned down the thermostat while we were out, when the house already wasn’t heated enough. The shower drain was completely blocked from our first evening, so after a long day skiing our children couldn’t shower. The owner spent two days trying drain cleaner. The toilet also wasn’t usable as we’d expected. Then we were blamed for using too much toilet paper, though the owner seemed to forget that mold had been covered by the linoleum on the parquet floor and had been there a long time. It was a relentless stay. We were disappointed with our week in Murat, and paid the full price without being offered any discount.

Parking was the one small hassle: the nearby spaces are paid and limited to three hours, while free parking is about a ten-minute walk away. The apartment itself was sunny, very clean, and well equipped, with public transport close by.
