The neighbor on the left can see straight into the house, and they seem very curious about what happens there. There’s no hedge or fence for privacy, and the listing photos don’t show how close the neighbor’s house is. We only lasted an hour before leaving. I’ve never booked a dirtier place: dog hair was everywhere, even on the kitchen sponge (see photo). It was poorly maintained too, with cables running along bedroom walls and a boarded-up glass door to the outside. The photos made it look like there was a terrace and outdoor space, but the garden is tiny and faces the left neighbor’s patio door. The terrace wasn’t set up, and the furniture was dirty and in terrible shape, stored at the back of a shed. When I called the owner to ask about the terrace, he said he never puts the furniture out in April and that I should set it up myself, and wash it too, given its condition. Some people have no shame, haha. So we spent the evening inside, surrounded by dog hair. Yuck. Dealing with the owner was unpleasant too. He was unaccommodating and seemed unconcerned about the trouble this disgusting rental caused us. We found another place 10 minutes later, a 15-minute drive away, wonderfully cozy and run by charming hosts. Steer clear, and give your money to people who do their job well :)

It was spotless and in a good location, which made for a really pleasant surprise.

There’s plenty of space, though a few details still need fixing.
