Twelve days before our departure, the UK government announced new rules requiring two weeks of quarantine on returning from France. I'm a doctor, and my job meant I had to cancel the trip. We had booked through booking.com, and the hotel had already taken a €1000 deposit. I emailed the property directly to explain and ask to move our booking dates. Their reply said they weren't aware of any new quarantine rules in France!!! I tried contacting the hotel by phone and email, both directly and through booking.com, many times, but never managed to speak with anyone. Each time I was told the owner wasn't available and didn't speak English. It's astonishing that nobody else at the hotel could deal with customers. After all that back and forth, they refused to move our booking to a date the following year, as we requested, and wouldn't refund us either. On top of that, before our arrival date they tried to charge my card the remaining balance, around €2,185.55! They seem to have no regard for the situation in the world or for customers caught up in this pandemic. I've stayed in many hotels in the south of France and never experienced such arrogance or lack of understanding. This is simply stealing customers' money. Even one star is too much!!

Waking up to the ocean view, with rolling hills all around, felt like a fairytale. Such a beautiful hotel, and those beds are super comfy. The view is wow.

The owners are charming, and the setting is amazing, with a view that's hard to beat. It's a beautiful haven. The restaurant isn't open, so plan to eat out. We were happy to snack on our own food by the pool and use the bar, which is reasonably priced.

Don't be fooled by the website photos. The place was dirty, disorganized, and extremely expensive for what you get. I'd rather sleep in my car. When we arrived, only an old lady was there, with no other staff around. She asked us to wait for the owner, who turned up 20 minutes later in a taxi and treated us badly. A éviter absolument!
