I need to apologize first: I left a negative review for this hotel on Expedia by mistake, with comments that were meant for another place. The view here is breathtaking, and the rooms are spacious, fairly clean, and comfortable. The bathroom could use improvement, but the view makes up for its shortcomings. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. I’d highly recommend it if you’re after peace and quiet.

The pool area was lovely and relaxed, and breakfast was a very nice continental spread. The hotel keeps its old charm and was perfectly clean, with friendly staff. I’d come back. Merci

The man on duty in the mornings was personable and very efficient. The desk staff member we saw over our three days, though, wasn’t especially approachable and seemed to spend most of her time reading or at the computer. She forgot to give us the code to get back into the hotel after we returned from dinner, and seemed surprised when we asked her to arrange a taxi one evening. She only had one number; when she couldn’t get through, she gave it to us to try later. Some staff were pleasant, but the interior needs a complete upgrade. There were chipped tiles, carpet tiles lifting from the floor, and doors and skirting boards that needed painting. The outside looks wonderful, but I was disappointed overall and wouldn’t return.

The place is gorgeous, with great views and a good location. The bedding was uncomfortable.
