Hotel Souleias

The hotel is amazing and could be a great fit if you want wellness alongside luxury and don't mind being away from the main restaurants, shops, and beach clubs. But check-in affected our stay. We'd travelled nearly 24 hours from the US, including layovers and transfers, and were eager to shower. We arrived around 3 pm and learned our rooms weren't ready. Some guests had apparently been given late checkout, while we, as platinum American Express clients who might also have been eligible for perks, had to wait two hours in the lobby for three expensive rooms we'd prepaid well in advance. Staff apologized, but didn't offer any other amenity for the inconvenience. For a high-priced luxury property, we expected extraordinary service and attention. Be aware of the check-in timing, as it could spoil the experience.

The property is beautiful, but my Shape Day spa visit left me feeling taken advantage of instead of cared for. If you're coming for Shape Day, be prepared for treatment that may not match what hotel guests receive. I tried reaching out to share our experience and was blatantly ignored. I can't recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing day with clear pricing, and be ready to spend a lot more than the listed price. The email said lunch included a starter and a main. At the restaurant, we were told it cost €100 per person and could go toward anything on the menu, drinks included. We asked several times to clarify because that didn't match what we'd originally been told. In the end, lunch cost us over €300, which felt deliberately unclear. During one spa treatment, my husband was offered four mask options without anyone mentioning an extra charge, so he reasonably thought they were included. I was told there'd be an extra cost and declined. When we pointed out that the charges hadn't been explained, they ignored us and asked for money.

The food was great and the service wonderful at this five-star luxury hotel. Just know the private beach has about eight beds, and you need someone from the hotel to drive you there and back. They're happy to help and always available.

The staff made my whole stay feel comfortable and relaxed. Everyone went out of their way to help, from sharing local tips to checking that I had what I needed. The General manager even took time to welcome me, which was a lovely touch. I stayed at Lilly of the Valley Hotel and found the room spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully set up. It had full sea views, and the toilet had high-quality products, fresh towels, and linen. The restaurant was just as impressive. The dishes were spectacular, with a good variety made from fresh local ingredients, and the service was impeccable. I especially liked the breakfast buffet, with choices for all tastes. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who appreciates friendly staff and high-quality service. I'll definitely visit again soon. Thanks to everyone at Lilly of the Valley for a wonderful experience.
