Du Sauvage

Cynil, the manager, was consistently so helpful during our stay for a family wedding in a nearby town. The hotel sits right in the town centre, with shops, bakeries, butchers and cafés close by, and there’s a good swimming pool too. A lovely place to stay, and I’d happily recommend it.

The prices were very fair, and the children’s menu was a refreshing change from the usual burgers, sausages or nuggets. Our five-year-old granddaughter had something that felt grown-up. We were welcomed warmly into a beautifully decorated dining room, and the menu was thoughtfully put together with lots of options, including set menus and à la carte.

The food was beautiful, tasted amazing, and was presented so well. Everyone was friendly, and our waiter was especially polite and helpful. He did his best to explain the parts of the menu we couldn’t understand in English. For my birthday meal on 28th July, he even brought out a candle in my dessert and sang happy birthday. Thank you for making it such a lovely meal.

We had a very good dinner at the hotel restaurant, which serves really nice food. My room faced the street, so I didn’t have the chlorine smell that can affect rooms beside the indoor pool. The rooms are simple and clean, with all the necessary amenities, and the staff are courteous. My stay at Hotel du Sauvage was quite comfortable.
