Good spot, and the ice cream was tasty. I didn’t try the food, though what I saw looked decent. The beer on tap was nice too. Wifi wasn’t working during my visit.

I’ve made several fishing trips here with friends, but the fish population in the lake has fallen drastically and there’s been no restocking to make up for it. The water quality has also worsened a lot, with harmful algae and cyanobacteria appearing. I come for several trips a year, usually staying 2 to 4 days, and have paid more than the cost of an annual permit. Still, the owner hasn’t offered any compensation. The rules have changed without a clear or truthful basis, and they don’t seem to be applied consistently. For instance, that’s been the case with barbless hooks and newer fish finder technology. The owner appears to mix up fishing equipment and fishing techniques. I’ve always paid for my fishing days, yet I’ve seen plenty of people fishing without paying and no game warden doing anything about it. I don’t recommend this lake anymore. Public waters are now in a much worse state than this lake.
