We’ve just come back from a stay in one of the holiday bungalows. This is a small, peaceful campsite, though it was busy throughout our visit. The mix of accommodation is good: generously sized open pitches for tents, caravans and camper vans, stationary tents on wooden platforms or pallets, and mobile homes. Our TAOS Mobile home (Louisane make) was beautifully finished, larger than some we’ve stayed in elsewhere, with two rooms and a pull-out sofa bed. There was no oven or barbecue, but the kitchen was more than adequate, with a microwave and a decent-sized fridge freezer. There’s plenty to do on site, including boules/pétanque, ping-pong/table-tennis, a badminton net, and a small playground for young children near the entrance. Weekly exercise classes are offered too. Breakfast and evening meals are available, and they advise booking. The pitches appear to have water and electricity, and there’s a block of toilets, showers and washrooms by reception. The waste area has compost bins and recycling for glass, paper and more. The site opens onto Le Vegétarium at one end, via an outdoor photo gallery in the wood and bamboo. From there you can stop to shop or eat, or continue into La Gacilly village. The Aff river (l'Aff) runs along that end too, with a small pontoon where open-top canoes for up to three people and various pedal boats can be rented. We had no trouble with traffic noise in our bungalow, but it may be different nearer the road, in a safari tent, or on a tent pitch of your own. The road outside can be busy, and the surrounding wooded area may reflect the sound.

It’s only about a three-minute walk to the city center. The sanitary building looks fairly new, but it was rarely cleaned. There are only a few places for tents or campers, close to the street, and traffic was noisy at night.

The price is fair, and the shower and toilet facilities are clean, modern, and nice.

The young woman at reception gave us a warm welcome, and she’ll understand the joke about us coming back this summer, but “it’s not urgent” 🤣🤣. The campervan pitches are great, and we even got to pick ours. Everything is well looked after, there are new mobile homes on site, and the sanitary facilities are very clean. It’s only a five-minute walk to La Gacilly along the little path. See you soon, the Alsatians, Patrick and Marie-Laure

A lovely green, quiet campsite with access to the river. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the sanitary facilities were spotless. The best part is how close it is to the photo festival and town center. You can also cycle to the Nantes-Brest canal. The road noise didn’t bother us, despite what other reviews say. It was much less bothersome than the dissatisfied neighbor’s constant complaints through lunchtime. He even compared pitches and criticized a campervan with an awning in a shaded spot. The grumpy gentleman will know who he is, and he posted a negative review soon after. I recommend this campsite.
