A warm welcome awaits you here, and it’s a place that really deserves a stop. The peaceful park has an equestrian feel, and there’s a magnificent pool for relaxing as well as a billiards room. Everything seems set up to help visitors unwind and get a break from everyday life.

Breakfast was perfect, with classical music and candles, looking out over the park and its squirrels. The grounds are beautiful and wonderfully peaceful, and the welcome was warm. The owner is fascinating and clearly passionate. History and art are woven into every corner of the property, and I also got to meet a skilled, charming horsewoman. The room was spacious and beautifully furnished, and the hostess and receptionist were both kind and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent in a lovely warm room overlooking the park, with classical music playing. There’s a billiards room too, and even a bidet in the bathroom. The castle sits just a few kilometers from the charming, unusual village of La Gacilly, which is worth visiting. Though close to the road, it feels quiet, surrounded by a park with old trees, stables, horse fields, and lawns with comfortable loungers where you can sit in sun or shade. The huge pool in a period greenhouse has a lovely atmosphere, and outside there’s also a lawn and apple orchard for relaxing. Definitely recommended.

The welcome was lovely, including a quick tour of the property, and parking was easy with plenty of spaces. We also had free use of two pool tables, which was great. Our room was spacious, the bed very comfortable, and there was a coffee machine and toiletries. Breakfast was excellent, especially the fresh orange juice. The setting is peaceful and surrounded by nature. A few issues: the pool shut too early for us to use it, one room key was missing, and the shower leaked, though there was a bathtub.
