I picked this basic one-star hotel for a couple of nights on a business trip because it was near my meetings. Getting there from Paris Gare Saint-Lazare on regional train L or from La Défense on Tram T2 was convenient. The bed and pillow were comfortable, though the rooms themselves are small and simple. There’s no air-conditioning, and opening the window means road noise. I had breakfast: fresh, basic food, but not much choice. There’s also no lift, so bags have to go up narrow stairs. Fine for a solo traveler with basic needs.

The owners and staff were friendly, and breakfast was fair. The eatery is pleasant and uncomplicated, and the place was fairly clean. But the rooms are tiny. The shower measures 65x65cm, with only 42cm of clear space because the faucets stick out, so washing takes some improvisation. No parking or lift, and the Wi-Fi may or may not work. It’s an incredibly cramped hotel.

I’ve been coming here for nearly a year, mainly for the tasty food and great service. The café gourmand is excellent, with coffee and three little desserts, and I love the pain perdu. One useful thing to know: this is the only restaurant around here open on Sundays and holidays.

The staff are friendly, the classic dishes are decent, and breakfast is fair. It’s tidy and fairly clean, but the hotel rooms are unbelievably small, with only about 45cm of space in the shower, which makes bathing a bit of a project. There’s no lift or parking. I couldn’t get the Wi-Fi to connect, so I can’t say whether it works.
