Les Flamants Roses

We had a great stay in a top-notch apartment, quiet on the 3rd floor with an open view. The catch is the compulsory breakfast for short stays, delivered in a bag to your door between 7:15 am and 9:15 am, so you're stuck waiting. It includes seasonal fruit, apricots every day until they don't fit anymore, mini croissants, pain au chocolat, and Nescafé. Not one for coffee lovers.

We're just starting our two-week vacation here, and we're already very disappointed. The apartment is only 24 m2: there's a bunk bed in the entrance hall, and in the bedroom there's not enough room to walk around the double bed. The terrace is 7 m2, and none of this was made clear in the ad. At the pool, sunscreen is forbidden! I think that rule is illegal as part of the condominium regulations. Children's games seem to be banned too. Here's to the holidays! Hopefully we don't get any more surprises.

A lovely residence, and the swimming pool is its main asset. It's one of the largest in Motte du Couchant.

The pool is pretty, and the staff are strict, which helps keep things peaceful. During our week, a group insulted the supervisor, though that's down to people who don't know how to behave. The residence is nice and well placed in the Couchant district, where you can do everything on foot. Still, it would be wise to do thorough pest control: we saw mice and rats passing by on the ground-floor terrace.
