The garden was such a lovely place to sit at night and watch the whole sky. One morning, I had breakfast on my own and ended up with the sweetest company, the furry host with a tail 😊❤️. The hosts are the most peaceful, caring people I’ve met, and they were warm and attentive. The location is fantastic, and I’d ask for an upstairs room for that uplifting morning view. It’s not a luxury place; it feels more like visiting your aunt and uncle. I loved how simple and charming it was, and I’d stay here again next time I’m in the area.

The terrace has no view at all, boxed in on every side by two or three storey walls. The apartment was clean, but shabby and unfinished, with holes poorly filled and fixtures badly fitted. The shower cubicle is large, though the water was only lukewarm and the pressure low. The attic bedroom has beams so low my 4year old son bumped his head getting out of bed. The beds are somewhere between single and double width, and there was plenty of bedding, but it was all too narrow. The steep attic stairs really needed a hand-rail for safety. The back door handle pulls off, and there’s no handle outside, so you could get stranded on the terrace. Tea and coffee were advertised, but there were only herbal infusions and a few teaspoons of coffee in an old jar. Milk wasn’t advertised or provided. At checkout the landlady walked me around while she inspected everything, and even her final “OK” wasn’t the end of it. After we got back to England, we got a call saying we weren’t welcome again because a frying pan wasn’t clean enough, even though it HAD been thoroughly washed. Very strange attitude 😠

There was plenty of parking, and it was great value for money. The hosts were welcoming and friendly, the beds were perfect, and breakfast was extensive with local produce. Highly recommend.
