Le Mas du Péré

The place was in terrible shape and dirty throughout. There was dust all over our room, several broken lamps, and a broken bathroom fan. The sunbeds were mostly broken, with dirty covers, possibly from cat pee, and the outdoor seats were so filthy we didn’t want to sit on them. It smelled of cat poop and pee everywhere. The jacuzzi wasn’t open, the pool water wasn’t clear, and the neglected garden looked like it hadn’t been maintained since 2021. Breakfast bread wasn’t fresh, and the wifi was extremely slow and unreliable. The description said we’d have our own kitchenette, but on arrival we found only a shared one in a common room. It looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months, and its refrigerator was broken. How are guests supposed to cook there? The host showed no interest in us during the stay beyond saying Bonjour and Bon Appetit. On our last day, while we were packing the car, he asked if we’d enjoyed ourselves. When we said it hadn’t met our expectations, he replied that “this is not a hotel but a guest house,” then walked away angry and irritated. Be aware of this man. He only seems interested in your money and unwilling to put a single euro into the place. It’s a scam, and people should be protected from people like this!

The owner was helpful, breakfast was good, and the room was nice. The pool had plenty of room for all the guests and was partly shaded. I’d happily stay again.

We spent a week here and wished we could have stayed longer. The host was great, and the beautiful garden had a pool. The apartment was amazing, with everything we needed, breakfast included.

Extraordinary.
