There’s a lovely terrace, and our room had its own little one with a table and chairs. It’s a former hotel that now operates as a B&B, where the proprietor lives and rents out just five rooms. He’s a wonderful, chatty host, and she’s friendly and made fresh bread and homemade jam for breakfast. There are plenty of hiking brochures. The pool looked big, though we didn’t get a chance to use it. It’s a simple, welcoming place rather than a luxurious one. We’d like to come back for longer with more of the family. Payment is by cash or check, no cards.

The pool was a nice extra, and the view was wonderful. With such a clear sky, we could even spot stars at night. Our bedroom was perfectly clean, and breakfast was simple but delicious. The hosts at Le Mas Du Colombier were always happy to help, whether we needed advice on the weather, the local area, or activities we might enjoy. I’d definitely recommend this B&B. It has everything you need for a very reasonable price.

Getting to lots of interesting spots around Castillon lake is easy from here. The place itself is really quiet, and the people are very welcoming and nice. I’d warmly recommend giving it a try for at least a few days.

We stayed for a week and would come back in a heartbeat. The guesthouse is centrally located, so it’s easy to get around, and the rooms are clean and spacious. The hosts were incredible, always available and kind, and quick to recommend the best walks around the area.

We’ve been here three times now, and the owners are incredibly kind. They make the stay really pleasant, and we’ll definitely come back. If you can, book the scenic flight at reception. It was sensational, 100% recommended!
