Club MMV Plagne 2000

I hate having to leave a bad review, but my partner and I were treated in a way I wouldn't want other people to experience. It felt like there was little consideration for anyone who wasn't French. The staff seemed extremely rude to non-French guests. One small example was the man cooking fried eggs: he put them straight onto French guests' plates, but if you weren't French, he left yours in a tray for you to pick up and transfer yourself, even when you offered him your plate. I also saw some awful behaviour from management. One staff member smashed a glass because she was fed up with British guests ordering two or three drinks at once to avoid lots of people queuing at the bar. I have serious concerns about hygiene too. Meat and vegetarian dishes were often mixed up, and were being prepared or cut on the same chopping board. It didn't feel like a place that looked after foreign guests, and the hygiene seemed poor. I got the impression that making some kind of profit mattered more than caring for customers. As other reviews have suggested, I'd go up the road to club Med instead.

Having to check out at 9am and then having nowhere to change after a day skiing was a real letdown. They don't change towels or make the beds every day, and the bathroom supplies were basic, with just a tiny bar of soap. There were lots of British guests who'd come through a big UK travel company, so I was surprised that none of the evening entertainment was partly in English. Taken together, all those details make this feel like a 2-star property at best.

The breakfast and dinner spreads were superb, much better than the menu makes them sound, and the hotel's service was excellent. Our room was spotless, with a warm feel, a comfy bed and a nice-sized ensuite shower. There weren't any chairs, but what was there was a nice standard. Ski in and ski out onto a blue run 👍 We'll be back.

We came for a mountain break and found the atmosphere made everything feel just right. The manager was very involved, the staff were genuinely friendly, and the rooms were clean. The food was excellent too. With direct access to the ski slope and breathtaking views, this was a dream hotel with impeccable service. I'd highly recommend it!
