The staff made a stressful stop much easier after our car broke down and left us stranded. We managed to book two nights at the last minute, and the rooms were comfortable. They worked around our late arrival and even helped us make a phone call with someone who didn’t speak English.

We couldn’t even shower because the sewage smell was so bad. The room was hot, and the reception hours are odd, with staff only there from 7 to 9 in the morning and 17:00 to 21:00. It’s in the middle of nowhere and expensive for what you get.

The rooms were a little small, but we’d recommend this hotel. We were early and arrived on two motorcycles in the heat, while the hotel was still closed. The lady kindly let us in and brought us two bottles of ice-cold water with a smile. Thanks so much, it was very welcome. Great location and excellent staff.

Eva was so lovely when I arrived, and even helped me find a phone adapter. The next morning, when there were no taxis, she offered to drive me to the nearby hospital I was visiting. The staff are warm people who made everything easy and pleasant. There’s a big bed, soft towels, everything you could need, and a delicious breakfast buffet.

After a long, tiring trip, finding the hotel closed in the evening was awful, and the employee wouldn’t help us. They should make it very clear during booking that the hotel closes after 9.00pm. Hotel Inn Design Chambery also doesn’t email guests their room number and door code, as normal hotels do. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel. The service was the worst I’ve ever seen.
