The layout was a bit quirky, but everything worked as it should. We had the ground-floor apartment on the right as you enter. For just one night, it seemed very nice and clean.

We’d seen the negative reviews, but our family of four, including two young children, had a great time. The Wi-Fi worked the whole time, and we had everything we needed. Even with the heat outside, we were able to keep the place cool, and it was clean enough when we arrived. The main drawback was a smell that seemed to come either from the rubbish under our window or the horses out back, depending on the wind. Closing the windows took care of it. The water pressure was very low and could use improvement.

The host was quick to respond and sent all the details we needed to get into Gite ancien relais de Saint Jacques. Inside, the apartment was spacious and quiet, so we slept really well. The kitchen had almost everything for cooking, though a few breakfast bowls were missing. We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend it.

The place was far too expensive for what it was, and there was no parking. We were sent to the wrong, cheaper room by a totally uninterested "host" who sometimes played music extremely loudly. The outdated "apartment" had a smelly bathroom, a clogged showerhead, tiny dirty towels, and furniture that barely deserved the name. Getting in meant punching security codes into really sticky panels. And then it’s listed as a "participant in the programme for recommended partners". Avoid it. I warned you.

We had such a nice weekend in this old coaching inn on the Camino de Santiago. The hosts were really helpful, and it was easy to communicate with them. The apartment was comfortable and spacious. I'm sure we'll be back soon! 😊
